Gratitude

Oh Blog, how I have forsaken thee!

My theme today is gratitude.  For posterity, I would like to state that:

I'm grateful for the love I receive from my boyfriend Stuart.  It is unconditional and he loves me even when we argue or when I am rude, angry or it's that dreaded time of the month.

I'm happy for my daughter's progress.  She is lively, resourceful and wildly inquisitive.  Sometimes I curse the universe for her boundless energy and ability to to find the absolute wrong thing to touch or pick up in any situation, but I love her and all her little crazy baby ways.

I'm grateful for money in my pocket from Stuart's hard work, and for money in the bank because of my previous work ethic, and my parents and grandmother's before me who worked even harder just to make sure my generation wouldn't have to scratch around like they had to when they first came here.

I'm grateful for lighter days and sunshine through my blinds in the morning.

I'm glad that 2 men called Steve joined with countless others to make a company called Apple, and they make beautiful products that keep millions of us amused.  Yes, I love my iPhone.  *shrug*

I'm grateful for perspective.  Even on the bad days, I'm reminded of the good things in my life whether I want to recognise them or not.

I'm pleased with my health progress but I know I have some way to go.  I appreciate every moment of this journey and what I am continuing to learn about life, love and myself.

I'm happy to be surrounded by friends like Suzy, Lucy, Jan and Louise, where time, distance, finance or fate has no bearing on our understanding of each others.  And they make me laugh.  I love laughing, especially at real things and bitchy gossip.

I'm really enjoy music and am so happy to be finding new, good artists.  I have the opportunity to listen to music and nourish my soul every day.  I thank all the amazing musicians who have contributed to my spiritual bliss.

There we go.  That wasn't so hard, was it?  Think about what you're grateful for.  And then smile, and carry on your merry way.
